How skip logic works
Skip logic checks an answer, then decides which question comes next. A respondent who answers "No" to "Do you own a car?" does not see the next five questions about their car.
Survey tools use several names for the same idea: skip logic, branching logic, logic jumps, and display logic. All of them are kinds of conditional logic.
Example
An event feedback survey asks "Did you attend the workshop?". People who answer No skip the workshop rating questions and go directly to the general questions about the event.
Why it matters
Questions that do not apply waste time and annoy respondents, which adds to survey fatigue. Skip logic keeps each path short. It also prevents bad data, because people cannot rate a session they did not attend.
Skip logic in FormFlux
FormFlux handles skip logic with conditional rules on each field. A field with a "Show this field if" rule stays hidden until its condition is true. In conversational mode, which shows one question per screen, hidden questions are skipped.
